Do people want to see his movies anymore?

I don't think Hollywood is gonna stop making disaster movies, but I think they'll stop making the kind of disaster movies that Roland Emmerich is best known for.

He had a winning formula a was extremely good at it: Stargate, Godzilla, Day After Tomorrow... the problem is that it became trendy to say that he was a bad director.

He wasn't. He was 100% pop-corn and a bit cheesy, but he was good doing his job and used to make the most of the budget.

Probably he tried to became less "cheesy"... and fucked it up. Something similar happened to Spielberg, who became a much worse director the moment he tried to became a "serious" director.

I'd like to see more movies from him... provided he was able to go back to the director he was years ago.
