Got his autograph once; no more than 5'9 1/2" tall, tops

It was after his role in a Broadway production of Julius Caesar in 2003 (said I was a fan since St. Elsewhere, which he didn't particularly react to - maybe residual issues). I'm 5'8 and no way he was 6'1" - he was barely taller than me.

Most movie stars are shorter in person, I guess (the only one I've seen in person who looked as tall in real life as in the movies was Dennis Quaid, who I saw on the phone in the Salt Lake City airport once. Guy was well over six feet).

Interesting. I read that some one or several people, were changing the heights of famous people on sites that allowed editing or they could hack. . It was some men that didn't like famous men appearing taller than them. I guess it was jealousy but carried to another level.

I do like taller men. There's just something about that that's very attractive to me but I've also dated men shorter than me at 5'6" . It's all about character, plenty of tall people lacking in it and not so tall people brimming with it.

It's weird, he looked way bigger than Ethan Hawke in Training day who's like 5'10

Hollywood doesn't like tall actors. It makes it too difficult to block the scene. Beside that, he's a one-trick pony; every character he plays is a gum-chomping *beep* with a superiority complex.

I met Denzel once in Los Angeles. He looked 6'0 or just about, but definitely not 6'1

On celebrityheights.com it says he was 6’0.25 and has shrunk down to 5’11.75.

He's 6'1!
