Silence is an amazing film and I'm still PO'd that the Academy didn't even give it a nod, let alone the victory. It's CHALLENGING and a great film in every regard. Four actors (Driver, Kobozuka, Neeson, and Ogata) could have received supporting actor nods from the Academy, and Garfield should have been nominated for this performance over his performance in Hacksaw Ridge (impressive though that one was).

Plus the visuals, the sound design of the film...it's a masterwork.
