What happened to Cameron on the set of "Sex Tape" that was so horrible?

A blind item once said that she had a bad experience on one of the last films she made and it made her never want to act again.

Blind Items Revealed #4

Speaking of therapy, this former A+ list mostly movie actress walked away from the spotlight a few years back. Everyone thought it was because of the roles she was being offered or that she had a fear of failing, but it turns out something happened on her second to last movie and it made her never want to do another one again. Her last movie was a favor she felt like she couldn't walk away from.

Cameron Diaz

I'm assuming that this movie in question is Sex Tape since that's the second to last movie that Cameron Diaz starred in before Annie.

One of her last big paychecks came from this movie where she exploited herself big time. And the movie flopped.

I think whatever it was it could not have been more awkward and creepy than her on set love scene in A Life Less Ordinary.

Cameron Diaz went on to deliver many successful and critically-acclaimed films over the next few years, further solidifying her position as a Hollywood A-lister with every role she did. The world was, therefore, greatly surprised when at the height of her career, Cameron Diaz decided to leave the world of glamour for a peaceful life. In 2014, after the release of Annie, Cameron Diaz announced a formal retirement from show business.

The Counsellor revolves around a lawyer whose life turns upside-down after he gets involved with drug traffickers. With Ridley Scott at the helm and a stellar ensemble that included Brad Pitt, Javier Bardem, Cameron Diaz, Penelope Cruz, and Michael Fassbender, The Counsellor appeared like it had all the makings of a classic.

In reality, The Counsellor is Ridley Scott's worst film. Even though there are many elements that don't work, the one that viewers fixate is the scene where Cameron Diaz' character has sex with a car.

When the Oscar-winning actress made it clear she wanted nothing to do with the movie, many assumed her decision was because of this scene.

But Diaz's boycott was for a more obscure reason. Originally, Diaz played her character with a Bajan accent, which test audiences hated. When she was forced to redub her lines in her regular voice, Diaz was so ticked off, she refused to do any interviews for The Counsellor. It's hard to say what's stranger - the fact that Diaz had no problem humping a windscreen or the fact she thought redubbing her dialogue was an issue.
