It is good that he was correct with the Panama Canal. However, he was on the wrong side of pretty much every issue. It shows that he didn’t learn during his life. He should’ve known better. But his privilege and lack of empathy did not let him.

A shame for such a great actor.

On the wrong side? Who decides which side is wrong? You? His views on different issues were far more nuanced than you seem to understand, or admit. His willingness to discuss these topics calmly, and ability to articulate his thoughts well, are admirable. He was absolutely right about everything he said in these three video interviews. Wayne got along well with nearly everyone he worked with, including far-leftists like George Takei (read about it in Takei's book), and was a literate and well-informed man.

Not only that, but he was also a great, naturalistic actor.

There is very little right in what he said. No person that isn’t fascist, misogynist or racist would agree.

Sure, he was a great actor and probably very personable.

But he was a bigot and a homophobe that supported blacklisting actors that didn’t think like he did. History has not been kind to him.
