Was Marilyn actually prettier before she became a star?

YES,YES,YES....SHE WAS ADORABLE...THEN SHE BECAME A GOOFY FACED AIRHEAD WITH A THICK BUTT...I HAVE NEVER UNDERSTOOD HOW SHE STOOD OUT FROM THE HUNDREDS ,NAY THOUSANDS OF MORE TALENTED AND BETTER LOOKING LADY ACTORS OF HER DAY.

She was a lovely girl with her natural red-brown hair, but the movie camera preferred her blonde.

I don't think she was much of an actress but she had screen presence out the wazoo, and the fact is when she lightened her look, with the platinum hair and the pale skin, her super-pale coloring drew the eye almost as much as her natural charisma did. I don't know that she'd have become a star if she'd had a more natural look, IMHO it was the combination of her natural abilities and a really eye-catching look that put her over the top.
