reply

Poor Things wins make up. I was wrong on that one!

reply

Poor Things deservedly win production design, as I predicted.

reply

Poor Things wins best costume! I got that one wrong (insert sad face).

reply

The Zone of Interest wins best international feature. No surprise there.

reply

The Rock was looking good, as usual. That is what Samoan really looks like.

reply

ALI IS IN LOVE WITH THE ROCK.

reply

Aren't we all in love with the Rock?

reply

TO SOME DEGREE...BUT ALI TREATS HIM LIKE I TREAT ANNA KENDRICK...SHE GOES ON AND ON ABOUT SAMOANS BEING HER TYPE.🤣

reply

The Oscar for best supporting actor goes to Robert Downey Jr! Glad he won. He was fantastic.

reply

I have not seen all the performances but I thought his was worthy of winning it.

reply

The Oscars used to be an event I wouldn’t miss for anything. These days I would rather pay to not watch them. I didn’t even realize they were on tonight. I noticed a headline in my phone news feed a few minutes ago.
I still try to watch Oscar nominated films every year. But the ceremony itself is meaningless to me.

reply

Many people are the same. It's lost its significance now. It's partly a reflection of the films Hollywood puts out these days, partly because film stars aren't as big as they used to be, and partly because the event itself has just become more boring and political.

reply

Ditto.

We watched a movie instead.

They can circle jerk each other on their own time.

reply

Godzilla Minus One wins best visual effects. I haven't seen that one yet and I wrongly predicted The Creator to win.

reply

Were they really going to deny the chance to give the award to some Asians?
