not having ads and being able to have the audio play with screen off while driving is a gamechanger for me. the small fee is such a quality of life improvement given how much i watch it and saved me hours and hours
shareI use FreeTube, a free open source alternative that requires no account and performs better than the browser version. It also allows for many additional features, like changing the backend video player and lots of customizable interface options.
