I think I witnessed a shoplifting at my downtown mall today.

There were two young women who were being confronted by security as they left a Zara store. They started to run away from the guard who gave chase throughout the mall. The women were figuring out how to evade the security chasing them.

...at least, I think they were shoptlifting. They wouldn't have tried to run away otherwise, at most give the security some attitude for being accosted.

Just wanted to share my story for today.

I did retail security for a bit (or "loss prevention", as it became known over time). We werent supposed to chase people...though it may have happened anyway once or twice. 😂

One of the other security guards informed the authorities, too, I think.

But yeah, maybe there's more than meets the eye in this case if the guard isn't supposed to chase people....
