Beware of your favorite snack food

I have heard about certain dyes in foods. Scary stuff.

This has to be one 1 of the most fatphobic post I have ever read. Body-positive medicines are used to help support the plus-sized community emotionally and physically. For example, if I have a box of assorted Hostess Zingers, we'll say 30 in total. 10 yellow, 10 black, and 10 white. If I were to eat the entire box in 1 sitting, it would not be as bad for my health with the added food dyes because I would eat fewer calories which causes less emotional damage and stress. Without the food coloring or body-positive medicines, I would be eating 30 chocolate cakes instead of 10.

There isn't any greater risk to the health of plus-sized people than the devastating effects of fatphobia. Data suggests morbidly plus-sized people who experience fatphobia live 40-50% shorter lives than thin-sized people who never experience any fatphobia at all.

I think you owe hefty-sized people all over the world an apology for your hateful post. I WILL BE GOING ON A SEX STRIKE UNTIL I GET AN OFFICIAL APOLOGY FROM YOU!

it's a parody account, i don't know if it's the same person, but theres someone with the same name on twitter! i mean read the name "i need to be eating" and she talks about everything is fatphobic!

“Data” is plural, as in “data suggests.”

“Datum” is singular.

A real doctor would know that.

I have a Ph.D. in Body Positive Medicine, not in English Language and Literature.

how heavy are you?

reply

Yes, let's talk about the elephant in the room! The last time I weighed myself I was around 320 pounds, which was about 4 years ago. As a fat-affirming dietician, I refuse to use any kind of scale as it can be very damaging to the plus-sized community.

Doctors have long known that we must stop gendering babies at birth because it can cause irreparable harm later in life, yet they refuse to acknowledge the harm caused by weighing babies at birth. A lifetime of internalized fatphobia starts in the delivery room.

By the way, Happy Choco Taco Tuesday!

I'm trying to guess OP favorite snack :)

reply

I like Skittles and Little Debbie's snacks, but I try to eat them in moderation due to health issues.

reply

Oh. I took a wild guess that it was popcorn. Sans butter and salt popcorn is a nice healthy (fiber) snack.

reply

Good guess, I love caramel and cheese corn. Family history of diabetes and heart disease have caused me to moderate my intake. It is not easy. I have my popcorn lightly buttered with no salt.

My favorite candy popcorn is Moose Munch by Harry & David (various flavors)
