Why are Borg Cubes so powerful? Is it due to their immense size?

I'm no ST expert (just a fan) and without checking the various wiki/fan sites I'll guess it has to do with all the technology they have assimilated over the years.

What does OP stand for?

It means Over-Powered. It's more of a gamer term and usually associated with Bosses.

As nyctc7 has already mentioned, they’ve assimilated masses of technology from all over the universe.
