It went from sun to very dark in 15 minutes. Trees starting going sideways with rain. 15 minutes later I'm watching an inch or more of water creep towards my back door. It's stopping now the water receding back. Thank god, thought I might have some water in the house soon.

shareIt was a business function that I got invited to and the hosts said that as we were essentially trapped and going nowhere, we had to eat and drink everything there (90% of the invites stayed away because of the weather). I gave it my best shot, lol.
shareI’ve been through several floods and this one was my worst. I had over 5’ of water in my house. The flood has it’s own Wikipedia page. We didn’t see any form of governmental assistance for days.
