How times have changed

Went to a party and the people having it had a great big back yard with a fire pit. Had a volleyball net and some other games. All the adults enjoyed the games and good weather. Then as it was getting dark we got a good fire going in the fire pit and talked and had some beers. Great party. But all the kids that were there never even came out of the house unless they needed something. All they did was stay inside and play video games. Kids just don't get the exercise like kids did when I was a kid. Me and my friends were always outside playing or riding a bikes. Not kids these days.

Kids still play. Try buying a bicycle in a store right now. They are practically nom existent.

That is true. Bikes (good bikes) are hard to get now. But that does not change my mind at all that kids spend WAY to much time on computers and cell phones.

I agree, but much of that is socializing, just with new technology, even video games. The 80s trope of teenagers spending all of their time on the phone isn't completely inaccurate, so it's not exactly new. Lots of kids did that. I think its a mix of it still happens too much and anything new seems excessive.
