Take his last movie he acted and directed - Gran Torino.. He was about 80 years old.

150 Million - US
270 Million - Worldwide

IMDB Score - 8.2 (750,000 votes - great sample size)

Can anyone try to estimate an actor (who also directed) who'll have these results at 80. I can't think of anyone.

The Mule was the last movie he acted in and directed.

Ok, that had a 175 million gross. Damn good at 90.

I'm convinced more than ever he IS the biggest star.

No, but he's definitely an icon, as is Robert Redford. Their contributions to the film industry, both on and off screen, are remarkable.
