Women, would a man liking cats be a turn off?

Dog owners are seen as more masculine for a variety of reasons, most notably that a dog is a man's best friend, and they can play together.

Whereas a cat is more of a pet where the owner and cat share affection with one another.

You don't get a cat to protect your house either. Dogs are seen as an extension of the masculine trait of being a defender.

So is it a turn off if a man was a cat lover?

I grew up with dogs and had this discussion with my Sister. I love cats. They are a ton of fun, pretty low maintenance, and very easy to take care of. As far as not being masculine I like doing a lot of things that go outside the masculine normal and feel more well rounded that way.

I've had dogs and cats, my whole life and have loved them both. I currently have one of each but when my dog comes to her end of days, I'm going to be sticking to cats. I'm not home a lot so she really doesn't get the attention she deserves. Cats are WAY less needy. The cat I have right now is top of the line and he totally loves me! He's very independent but loves attention, has a great personality, doesn't pee, poop or spray and is very hygienic. We get along famously.

As far as women being turned on or off about it? Couldn't care less.
