Charlie Kaufman opinions?

I’m so incredibly biased, but I feel like even still Charlie Kaufman isn’t brought up as much as he should be. Charlie Kaufman is like the Radiohead of Filmmakers. Eternal Sunshine is my favorite movie, and in my own numerical scale he has so many more 10’s than other filmmakers and I think they can be enjoyed by everyone. Opinions on Kaufman’s works?

To me he's written one good movie: "Confessions of a Dangerous Mind", and 3 amazing films: "Being John Malokovich", "Adaptation" and "Eternal Sunshine." After that, he's fallen completely off for me.

i can't quite bring myself to love eternal sunshine as much as you do, because i just have this innate hatred of jim carey that i can't get past - but i still think it's a great, phenomenal, one of a kind film.

i haven't seen human nature, and i recall liking synecdoche while being completely flummoxed by it, but don't really have any firm memories of it, so i ought to give that one another go sooner rather than later.

but otherwise i love every single thing he's done. malkovich, adaptation, anomalisa, confessions - those are all top-tier movies, among my favourites.

He wrote Eternal but Gondry directed.

He's only written and directed Synecdoche, New York, Anomalisa and one other.

I still think of him as a writer first, but a top tier one at that.

He's made some great movies, and they are all usually interesting and worth a watch.
