Does this American say opportunity as 'oppor-chun-ity'?

I thought Americans never said it like that.

Sounded more like “opper-toonity”.

It sounds like CHUNE to me.

A lot of what he hear is actually corrected by our brains.

The word HER is a great example. It can pronounced as 'ah'. When you tell people that the word her can be pronounced as ah they don't believe you.

But if someone were to say 'Mary? I spoke to-ah yesterday' your brain would say 'he said her' but he didn't.

You say 'opper-toonity'
And I say 'oppor-chun-ity'
Let's call the whole thing off.

Offer-toonity or offor-chun-ity?
