Opinions on Whitney Houston's version of "I Will Always Love You"?

I was 12 years old when the song came out and I remember in late 1992/early 1993 you couldn't go an hour without hearing that song and it drove me nuts having to hear that song all the time.

Not bad, but overplayed and overrated. I think I prefer Dolly Parton's version.

Whitney going all out for the Olympic gold medal in vocal gymnastics. A classic example of when music becomes all about the singer's voice and the song is just along for the ride.
