He was on a recent episode of S.W.A.T. and based on that, I have no doubt he could play Wolverine. And he has a physical resemblance to Hugh Jackman.

I think Hugh owns this role for quite some time, same as Downey Jr owns Iron Man and Hemsworth owns Thor.

To resemble Hugh Jackman is not enough. How's that working for Brandon Routh as Superman for example? He totally looks like Christopher Reeve, but it didn't work because audience would just see him as the knock-off version.
Tom Hardy might be quite fittting for a reintepretation of Wolverine, he's short enough and buff af, but he's already Venom so I don't think it's a wise choice.
