My friend refuses to acknowledge how aggravating and stressful daily life is, he says he finds it mostly pleasant. I feel like he is just in denial or oblivious. I TRY to be positive, but every time I get in a good mood about something another irritating thing happens to kill my mood. I don’t think life is to be enjoyed, it’s just nice when you can.

shareI do agree with this. I've been noticeably happier since I left Facebook, for a platform designed to connect people it can be quite a toxic environment.
I do like to keep up with the news but I chose my sources carefully and NEVER listen to talk radio, especially here in Australia, it's like the domain of opinionated asshats who think because they have good ratings they are the voice of the people, when in reality they are just self-serving advertising whores who appeal only to the old and senile and stupid. They get themselves in the shit every other week for the moronic things they say, it's farcical.
Facebook was a good idea but now it's a breeding ground for hateful attitudes.
