an 'old school' nerd who carries around, rather than a notebook, a tower case w/ keyboard, a corded mouse & a crt monitor, rather awkwardly of course.
shclepps it into coffee shops amidst all the kool kids and their sleek silvery appletoshes, makes a big production about setting it up, preparing his mas mucho grande cup of joe with lots of creams and sugars his regular coffee, which he frequently lurches into and invariably slurps, amidst his labors.
the general effect is of making a clumsy pest of himself. the people around him, mostly young and 'hep', give him the side-eye, all to which he is completely obvious.
