Weather radars, are they broken right now?

It's raining here at the moment. I checked two different weather sites as I wanted to know if this is just a passing shower or the beginning of a larger storm. Neither one showed any rain anywhere nearby. How does that happen? I've seen the reverse, where the radar shows showers but it's not raining. I get that because I know rain sometimes doesn't reach the ground, but raining and nothing on radar? What gives? 🤔 Oh, but it does show rain about a hundred miles away. 🤨

I really dont trust the radar...im not sure if its a problem with the feed to your device but my radar app is wrong as often as not
Im usually on a phone btw...not sure if that matters

I'm on a laptop. I know there's a delay of at least a few minutes, but I just checked radar again and still nothing. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I more or less gave up on my radar app...i think it needs to be deleted asap
Sorry i am of no use here... I have yet to find anything that can accurately predict the local weather:(

I'm sure someone will chime in and say 'first world problem.' I'm not really complaining. I'm curious and would really like to know why this happens. 🤔

Oh i am sure thats coming
No matter...
i suspect that the fronts form very quickly up there in the atmosphere and our decent (but not great) tech systems just cant keep up half the time...the weather turns so rapidly here in New York the radar just never gets it right

If i see the leaves 'turn over' on their stems i know we are in for a storm...sorry but that is all i have;)
