a singular post puts a subject at the top of the "trending" list? not correct.

a "trend" is something that rises above the norm within a given time period, be it median, average, &c... but certainly not merely a single, "latest" post (as it is right now).

this is very misleading, and very simple math can correct it.

until corrected, it should be titled "recent posts"... or simply eliminated?

Trending Section is one of the best parts of this site. Other sites will copy it soon

This is true too. It does catch the eye. So then Jim can tweak the system to keep the movie/actor boards with the most traffic in the line-up. He's smart, he can do it.

What???? The boards that get the most hits (i.e. the most active) would fall into the trending definition.

I agree Tango, it should stand for what it means.

Definition I found for forums: Trending - (of a topic) be the subject of many posts on a social media website within a short period of time.

I agree with this. It should be changed to most recent. I think a real trending list that works like IMDb's popularity meter would be tremendously useful for continuing discussion.
