Thank You For The Ignore Button Jim!

You're awesome! So glad we finally got the ignore button so we can all have peaceful conversations without having to put up with all the ugliness that most trolls can leave behind...or follow us around with. Nothing like having a troll up in your face all the time.

I haven't had much problem with them but some can REALLY get under your skin...no matter how thick it is. Some of us really don't want to see them and some of us can't just simply ignore them in our minds. The ignore button will now make it possible for us to erase their view from us completely and make the boards look a lot cleaner.

Thank you so much Jim!!! 😄😄👍👍👍👍

I agree and a double thanks on top of that for moving the reply button away from the report and ignore buttons on the interface. I deleted a post by accident trying to edit it once (A pop-up stopped it after that same mistake almost happened again). Much cleaner for chatting with.

Now, I can post here!

Yeah, it was easy to mix up Reply and Report being that they both started with "Rep".

I just put batman6 on ignore in a thread and it put everyone else on ignore too! Not what I wanted, I just wanted batman6 out of the picture. I guess the bugs aren't quite worked out yet. On IMDb, it would only ignore the person you wanted ignored throughout the entire boards, not just in a nested post with several people in it. It still needs work but is better than nothing. Will have to wait until it improves before I put anyone else on ignore, I don't want to keep losing entire conversations from other people.

There should be an option to "unignore" people too...just in case you put the wrong person on ignore. Just like IMDb had that option.

Things will iron out. It is a brief fix but the message boards are coming along nicely and I'm sure a more developed solution will come to hand. I just presumed that everyone connected with ignored thread branches were removed from view to stop the ignored person using their replies as a means to further distress the person with them on ignore.

reply

Yeah Wilson, I'm sure you're right. The feature is new and was quickly thrown out there for us while he works the bugs out. I'm sure it will be fine in the end. BUT...on the upside...batman6 is out of the picture and I don't have to ever see him again. It's all about "taking out the trash". 😉😉

You broke your Number of the Beast cherry just for me?

Thanks!

I also put batman6 and angryman53 on ignore too, they may be the same person, him or they were really annoying. This site has really come a long way in a short time, it's as good as the old IMDB and better than themoviedb, all we need is more people but they seem to be coming in more and more so that's great.

reply

Oh! Thanks for the reminder about AngryMan53! I almost forgot about him...lol. I don't run into him much anymore so that's probably why. But when I see him, he's definitely gone!

You know earl, I was thinking they may be the same person too cause it seems like they were always on the same threads together.

Oh for sure! This is the best movie discussion site I've found...and I've seen many. I think it's better than IMDb, and imdbarchive for sure cause they don't even have actor's boards. This is definitely my forever home! 😄😄

Dazed...I was able to save the entire thread so I can CCP it for you. The entire thread is gone now, since I went back and deleted that too so I can no longer see that thread at all. I'll just put "Dazed" in the opening thread with, only, our convo in it. I'll let you know when I got it finished and then you can read my last post.

It's done! It's there in "The Exorcist" section under "Dazed". Now we can continue without the likes of batman6. 😉

reply

I only included OUR convo, nothing else.

Hey Styx! Just noticed this myself! Thanks for letting us all know...and THANK YOU JIM as well!

Hey jmc! You're very welcome! 😄👍👍
