Can't open this site from Chrome!

It was fine before Oscars, but the days after and still right now I get a message - "This site can’t provide a secure connection, www.moviechat.org uses an unsupported protocol."
It only opened in Firefox (which is very inconvenient since I use Chrome for everything else).
Please, help? Why is it happening and what I can do?

Chrome is going to crap and it is all because of updates. For me, I can still access it on Chrome, however, I now cannot access Linked-in on this version of chrome. Instead, I have to use Internet Explorer. I am afraid to update Chrome for fear that I will lose all my bookmarks. I know I will. So goes the fight until every website I visit cannot be accessed on here, before I am forced to update Chrome.

Thanks for reply, the funny thing is I haven't updated Chrome - like AT ALL. Btw, I still use Windows XP, it's ancient. But I was able to access this site normally until the Oscars, yeah, around then something changed, I thought this site was down.

Windows XP, if you were still able to keep it in working condition, was probably the best of Windows. I thought it was the most user friendly. I, unfortunately, had to go with the trend because Windows Vista was on a new laptop I had to take to college (Windows XP was a desktop) and after that, you can imagine that there is not one Windows XP computer out now. Now it's all about Windows 10 and I hate it! In fact, I had to get a program to make Windows 10 look like Windows Vista, so I could actually do work on it. The app that did that ended up expiring and so I deleted it, however, the interface is the same (thank god!).

Ouch, sorry to hear that. I am a total zero at technology though :D
Anyway, so the problem is in Chrome, not this site, that is what I wanted to find out. Oh well, I guess nothing I can do, will have to keep two browsers open parallely (I hope it is ok and safe? )

With new technology emerging, I would not be surprised if 2 year olds could work Iphones and Ipads better than I can my Moto G. Last year, I still had a slide phone LG Rumor and I was fine with it. On Christmas, my Mom wanted me to think she was doing me a favor by buying me a Moto G (I am guessing android brand?) and I apparently have to "swipe with my finger" to receive a phone call O_o. WTF?! Why could they not just keep receiving phone calls by pressing a button? Now this phone has hijacked my email because every time I sign into gmail on another computer, I have to confirm that it is me by pressing "confirm" on this Moto G. I do not know if having a "Smart Phone" is really a good idea. Technology may become so smart it may outsmart the owner of it. Yes, then SKYNET will be real. O_o SKYNET O_O

Oh, don't even get me started on that. It seems and sounds like a nightmare. I have no idea why people choose to use smartphones and all the other complicated stuff that comes with them. I am a total dinosaur. Still use my Nokia C2-01 and I am happy.
Thank-you for talking to me, have to go to bed now, past midnight here (Europe).

I have no problem with Firefox.

I use Chrome, only thing odd is that it logs out if I change tabs.

I don't use Chrome, but after reading this post I thought I would try to access this site from there, and got on no problem, but I'm using Linux Mint 17.

If you're using an older version of Windows, you might consider downloading Linux (It's free) to a bootable USB or CD. It's more stable, and also more secure against hacking; something to consider after reading threads such as this .
