Are you unaware that slavery existed in Cuba? Most Cubans have African, European and Indigenous ancestry in different degrees.

I guess you're too young to know how hated Catholics used to be. The KKK used to march against them. Trump's father was arrested at a klan rally against Irish Catholics.

I don't know his religion, but odds are that he's Catholic or was raised one.
