Jessica Walter -- Lucille Bluth Civil War flashback: Thief or spy tricks sentry -- "You didn't keep your powder dry!" I think I saw an easter egg. Hart harassing Doralee could have been stopped by... Guy drives away, leaving footwear on ground -- probably a Pink Panther movie. View all posts >

Could be A Demon in My View, a TV movie from 1991. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0102394/?ref_=fn_al_tt_4 In a flashback, the main character is a tween or teenager, asked to look after the neighbor's baby for an hour or so. He sticks the diaper pin into the baby's stomach not out of malice, just to see what will happen. Anyway, it was The Current War. Yeah, that was Annie Hall. More recently, there was a scene in Wolf of Wall Street, with Jordan Belfort (DiCaprio's character) and Jean Dujardin as a Swiss banker, both being gentlemanly out loud, while thinking "You American idiot...You Swiss jerk..." She made the character, all right. In the book, Norine was not boho, just a slob. When Helena visits, the apartment is cluttered, not artful clutter, more the result of Norine listening to the radio or otherwise goofing off instead of tidying up. Norine is doing her hair with a curling iron, oblivious to the fact that the kitchen floor is sticky, there's no toilet paper in the bathroom, and her neck is dirty, but by gosh, her hair will curl just right. Then she sighs that she can't get her act together, doesn't know what's wrong... "Well, mop the kitchen floor, get some toilet paper, and wash your neck!" Helena snaps. As played here, it was a much more powerful scene. Also, was she eating yogurt in that scene? Nice touch -- how many white folks had even heard of yogurt in the 1930s? That was Sprockets, when Catherine O'Hara was the host, in 1991 or 2. (Germany's Most Disturbing Home Videos was from the 1990 fall premiere, when Kyle MacLachlan hosted.) I hope that's a joke.
