By saying all lives matter you are saying black lives are less important!!! Why do you have to be so racist?! Why can't you just let us all do what we want?! We have the limelight now and you are pissing all over our moment! Thanks, I like getting background from people who actually live in the culture rather than news articles etc. It would have been pretty intense to be a cop and be up against crims who have military hardware. I get the idea of being against Police brutality. When I read that the cops are actually trained to stand on people's necks that is really excessive. But these people rioting and looting, burning down cities that is not going to help their cause at all and will only see an increase in Police use of force as well as stricter laws in general. The normal people living in or around those areas are going to be terrified and will be voting against the rioters in the end. Giving this even more thought. Why did Darwin even marry Sam? In that respect it seems the reversal of the typical woman marries man, then proceeds to try and change him. You can change some things about people but when it comes to something that is an intrinsic part of them like their culture then you will always have problems. Samantha is a witch, her family are all witches. He wants her to live in the mortal world, he wants her to give up her magic, he hasn't thought for a second about the consequences of reproducing with this woman. Endora is probably what could be considered a "Casual racist" a term that gets thrown about by the snowflakes down here. She likes some aspects of mortal culture, she may like fashion and food, the music etc but that doesn't mean she wants to live next to one or have one marry her daughter! lol. I recall seeing the first ep a while back and there were problems before they even married. In a nutshell Derwood should have walked away considering his attitude to the whole witch thing. Nope. I saw them all as people who wanted to advance their own positions at any cost. The main character always knew better too but just didn't care. Eddie Van Halen is innovative but a lot of the time that didn't translate to good songwriting especially in the David Lee Roth era. DLR also is a pretty average at best singer. Led Zep for me although I do like both bands. If it is someone you love it will always be sad. But yeah, I do think after say 70 you just have to accept it is a part of life. I put it down to the last 20 years being really boring on a pop culture level. Clothing wise it's boring, music is terrible. Everyone is too concerned with trying to be PC to do anything cool or interesting. I doubt you could make a fun high school film now. Unless you set it in the 80's. I always find it funny when women wear skirts that are way too short than spend all their time trying to pull them down to cover their thighs more. Didn't they know notice how skimpy the outfit was before they left the house? It can be fun. The English show Blackadder did a good one where Blackadder realized that if he became nice like the ghosts suggested he would end up poor and powerless and so kicks the ghosts arse and stays a scrooge lol. I can't see how advanced finger painting or splashing paint onto a canvas, melting metal into a twisted shape etc can have any meaning. To me it's not art. I agree. She always figured she could make promises then go against them without consequence. Throughout the show she is the one character who is never really a victim of anyone else's actions. Because basically she is the cause of most of them just by marrying a mortal and then not living up to her end of the deal. Sam seems conflicted throughout the series thinking about it. She never really makes a commitment to not use magic. She just kind of goes along with it and given the mayhem Endora causes I think at some point the wife (or whoever's mother it happened to be) would have to draw a line and just stop her coming around for the sake of the marriage. I always thought Darren's problem was that he was stuck in the thought that as a man he provided and gave the family what they needed. But he never got his head out of arse long enough to see that Sam could provide better, on a grander scale and without any brow sweat needed. Endora is a radical who doesn't want to see her daughter lose herself and also sees mortals as lesser beings. I'd tease him with it. I don't get the hype about Ruby either. She was just a music show host down here in Australia. She isn't a very good actress nor does she have any charisma that makes you want to watch her. I always thought it was to make her look sexy in costume at least. Out of costume she is very ordinary to look at. No doubt an attempt at keeping the show alive as bringing in a new actor to play an established role is difficult. But then so is the idea of there being a different Batwoman altogether. I thought Ruby Rose was a very ordinary and un-engaging actress anyway but I doubt they will be able to save this show. Sports is starting up here in Australia. Not a football fan but seeing the game on TV without any crowds in the stands lacks atmosphere, doesn't make good TV. The camera crews do their best to avoid the stand but with our footy involving frequent high kicks that is difficult to maintain. And some of them are gay, some are transexual and it's all set in 1920. To some degree I get it and I know it's just a show but anyway, Tabitha was living in a mortal world and would have to learn that she was different to others and would need to resist and control her magic. The whole show was really about mixed marriages and it's interesting to see the bigotry and resentment on both sides. Samantha was in the middle and also the one who caused the situation by marrying a mortal in the first place. Watching the re-runs as a kid I always thought Derwood was nuts. I would have let Sam go nuts and conjure us up a castle and anything we wanted. The heroes more often than not try too hard to be good. You can tell it is fake or at least it's just boring. The anti heroes are usually people who have been thrown into the role and are doing it for reasons other than for "hero status". Often they will shun any praise or attention their good deeds bring as well. I consider Superman to be the dullest of the superheroes actually and I always wanted the Dark side to win in Star Wars.
