Eh. He's 53. He's hardly gonna start changing his ways. Just appreciate the good in his films and laugh at the bad. At least he tries to make interesting, original, large-scale, thought provoking films in IMAX. No one else is. Oh look, someone conflating Palestine with Hamas again. I thought this show was a bore but the final episode was incredible. I only stuck it to the ending because Christopher Nolan told me to. I choose to interpret the ending literally. Dougie cursed Asher, his gravity is reversed, and no one believes him, causing him to die. Very well shot stunts. Nathan Fielder really demonstrating his directing chops here. "I'm too smart to talk to you" Yeah it was. Nolan at his finest. An erotic thriller filmed entirely in IMAX No thanks Would be good to see him take on a crazy adaptation like Arthur C Clarke, Alastair Reynolds or Cixin Liu. But he doesn't really do adaptations (except Batman because $$$) Same. Although I will also accept a sci-fi thriller. Which actresses do you think are attractive? The reason Mr C. is robotic when he's talking to Gordon is because Mr C is trying to hide his real personality and is pretending he's Cooper! So creepy and well done IMO. Turn that frown upside down I don't mind the slowness of the show. I preferred my second watch-through of s3, as I had a slightly better understanding of what the hell was going on, so I was closely following all the actions and dialoge to better understand everything. Watching s3 (and other Lnych films) tend to put me in mild trance like state. I love it. I also don't mind not knowing all the answers. I find shows/movies where I don't understand everything to be much more rewatchable because I'm trying to decipher it every time (e.g. Videodrome, X-Files, Primer, Space Odyssey, Tenet, Donnie Darko, Southland Tales, many films by Lynch, etc.) But if you find Twin Peaks s3 slow, boring, and repetitive, I can't really argue with that. It is slow and repetitive, and if that bore you there's probably not much you can do about that. This was a fun read. One thing I noticed when rewatching S3, related to your point 5. No one seems to be bothered with Dougie being basically mute and mentally disabled. Especially given that Dougie was presumably a normal (and fatter) dude before we was replaced by Coop. Everyone just seems to like him and wants to help Dougie out. Doesn't bother me though. I love Dougie. The ISS appears to be moving slowly relative to Earth because we are so far from it. Are you implying that the shot of Discovery travelling forward slowly (relative to the camera) is supposed to represent a very distant observer? I thought the following films were all good to pretty good. I Spit on Your Grave: Deja Vu (2019) - 2.4 Teenage Caveman (dir. Larry Clark, 2002) - 3.3 Nudist Colony of the Dead (1991) - 3.9 Area 51 (2015) - 4.2 The Devil Inside (2012) - 4.2 Body of Evidence (1993) - 4.5 A Hole In My Heart (2004) - 4.5 Pervert! (2007) - 4.5 Freddy Got Fingered (2001) - 4.6 Trash Humpers (2008) - 5.1 Hellraiser III: Hell on Earth (1992) - 5.5 Hellraiser: Inferno (2000) - 5.5 Scream 3 (2000) - 5.5 The Box (2009) - 5.5 V/H/S (2012) - 5.8 The X Files: I Want to Believe (2008) - 5.9 I wonder what the sequel will feature. I literally also saw this in the cinema with my grandma. She was terrified. So was I (I was 10 ok).
