in order to morph into crap, it would have had to have been not crap to begin with. but its always been that since conception.
The way it works, is the combination of all the stones work together. The mind stone allow know the details of anyone's mind. The same for the soul stone with souls. Working with the reality stone, and power and space stone allows the ability to compute any and every scenario, and the details and ramifications of each. The time stone allows all that to happen in what seems like milliseconds. But the snap itself could take eons in actuality. That's why such a use of all the stones at once take such a toll on a celestial body, let alone a mortal one.

Are they? Gamora is cybernetically enhanced. Rocket enhanced also (x-men, wolverine style enhancments). Quill is half celestial. Gamora was trained by the best fighters in the universe. I know you're just some fat dude, or some gross old lady trying to keep her mustache hidden, but I'll bite. We like them because its an escape from everyday life and stress. I like to socialize with friends, date, and take vacations. But life is also stressful. I'm an software engineer, and spend the day making software work. I have a sister in rehab. My dad died last year. I'm having medical problems. So, when I pop in Ironman, I get to be Ironman for 2 hours and 6 minutes. It's not just super hero movies either. A comedy like office space is always a good trip. But super hero movies add something more. The stakes are the highest. Often, the world needs saving. How's that not fun? So, quit judging people, and try and enjoy life.
