Its not really strong. It only made 67 mil to begin with. Its not as bad as it could have been, but it could have certainly been better. The film overall is unfortunately stuck with that 200 mil production budget. Its underperforming as far as what WB would have wanted. Its overseas is not huge either, so it will be interesting to see where this film finishes. TBH, not sure I like it. I am watching because the wife picked it out. I dont really have an issue with Swank and her character..its most of the rest of the cast I could do without. It will be interesting to see how this does..its projected domestic opening is between what Shazam and Aquaman opened and those films had dramatically different results. This film cost more than either film, has greater star power but a lesser known character. At a projected 200 budget it needs to perform really well. Amanda, Daniels wife, is Jessica's cousin. Its how Amanda and Daniel met. Jessica is there is get Amanda to understand how serious the issue between Daniel and Silver really is, to understand the emotional and physical abuse Daniel suffered at the hands of that man. (Silver's turn in this series really shows how much potential his character could have had in KK3 if they toned him down a little). Barnes is for the most part wasted in this series, he is a direct connection to Silver and the thought was Silver might reach out to him, but that was not the case. Both characters carry on the tradition of cameo or short run appearances from prior characters from the primary KK films. Unfortunately yes for some people that is how they will argue any criticism against it. On the other hand screaming woke, without some actual legit criticism isnt helpful either. Yes, not sure how many did it before they won the award but they all have. I didnt want to dig to deeply in case the wife comes in wondering what I am up too :) I don't know, Sally fields was always kind of cute :) Strain would have made a good low budget Wonder Woman back in her day. Well just from the 70s Jane Fonda, Glenda Jackson, Faye Dunaway, diane keaton, Ellen Burstyn and Sally Field. He must be pretty good at it to keep on stalking for 5 films. The ratings are a mess. While the media pretends it just the negative review bombing the reality is its both groups reviewing it throwing off the score..it started off with more tens than ones before the first episode made its series debut. Very likely in the 80s the Parents of Molly's character would have had a problem with Judd's character even being near her let alone kissing her. They were from different social classes. He would have been seen as trouble. IN the real world I wonder if Molly's real parents were ok with 26 yo Judd Nelson kissing their teenage daughter :) I talked to my wife about this, we were like we dont remember the song from the 80s at all. I watched the old video of it thinking it would jog a memory but it didn't. However the song she did with Peter Gabriel I do remember, but she never registered as anything than just a female singer he used for the song. So I kind if of questioned the character knowing and obsessing's over that song. Its a hard decision because many do not like subtitles, particularly if its all the dialogue. Then you have the people that dislike Dubs, between those two groups you would limit the audience somewhat. I would watch it but my wife would not. I have a hard time getting her to watch old Italian made films even if most the dialogue was spoken in English during filming you can tell its been dubbed so it distracts her during the movie. I think I watched it on a netflix DVD rental about a year after it was released. I watched it at home and no it did not scare me. I was entertained enough to watch the next few films. I am behind currently, I have not seen the spin offs or Ghost Dimension and Next of Kin. The way you watched it is probably the best way, but for me that would make little difference. That should have been made when the Prequel trilogy was. That was on Lucas. " The only people that complain about female leads are Republicans. There's no disputing that." Not all the people on here are even from the US, also you have independents, left of center libs so on...its pretty easy to dispute actually. That is where I am leaning. I don't have Hulu and I haven't seen The Predator yet so it will be awhile before I see it. But I just find it annoying people cant just be honest. We don't need a person's activism in the review process of the movies. Its why critic reviews cant really be taken seriously anymore, between the paid ones and the ones that cant seem to review it down the middle it leaves the entire group without credibility. They have been which only occasionally matches up with audience preferences. The ratings have improved since I posted this..there is still a high number of 10s..But the film seems to hit as a 7 or 8 for many that are rating it. For me its the setting of the film that doesn't work, the lead being female or male or native American doesn't matter since I don't believe anyone from this time poses a threat to such a creature. So that's my issue before I have even seen it. with 10s? It must have been pretty bad. You don't dump that much money if there is something salvageable.
