It's just adds to the surrealism. Same as the weird audio drones and "growls" that appear at times. It's all meant to set things off kilter. Who knew just focusing on storytelling instead of agendas would yield success?? You're the one typing in all caps....I'm not angry at all. I pity trans people. I hope they can find peace outside of surgery and clothing. They don't want to be treated equally, they want special privileges. Last time I checked, a degree doesn't guarantee common sense. Not into making special privileges for people with a severe mental illness. Get them the help they need to be happy with who they are. I didn't say Barbie was better by any means. It's just the same "Woman Smart, Man Dumb" story as Barbie. It’s basically the same story as Barbie - but with porn! Now that I am through ep 3 it's a bit more than that. There are scenes where Jonathan Banks is caught <spoiler>talking to a video of himself in another dimension</spoiler>. Plus the space agency's are <spoiler>feeding them lithium and calling it vitamins</spoiler>. Why? It's more about the observer effect of quantum mechanics rather than totally about alternate realities. The observer effect can affect others around you in certain scenarios based on ep 3. It's carving a different path than the standard tropes. It's nothing new - but it's interesting and the acting is fantastic. Money. It's always money. Big dicks are a dime a dozen. Brad Pitt has a little dick, but money always wins. I thought the same thing, but she is 100% Japanese. They probably needed someone who could fluently speak both languages. I saw her recently in Gods and Monsters as well. She's actually not the greatest actress, but I think she's doing fine in this role. Have your networks said anything about Hugh Jackman? I have a friend who was in The Boy from Oz who said Hugh frequently slept with a male cast member in the show. It seemed a bit too real. The girl just seemed stunned that it was even happening. And Fassbender's character was a bit rape-y. It is good. I wish it wasn't a mini series because we might have another GoT on our hands here. My buddy is the biggest aviation freak I've ever met. He goes to probably 10 airshows a year and specifically loves WWII planes. He loves this show and knows there are inaccuracies and boatloads of CGI. Go figure. I guess it depends on your ability to suspend disbelief. The only thing he doesn't like is Austin Butler. 😂 Usually *you're* the first one to chastise people for pre-judging a film... "The new film is expected to spend more time in the real world than the digital ones of the first two movies." Well I don't like the sound of that at all... They'll take beloved, timeless songs and give them all the urban R&B treatment I'm sure. There is no doubt in my mind this is going to go down in flames. I agree about lawnmower man being a bit random. I am not a fan of that type of "you had no chance of figuring it out anyway" type of reveal. I liked the writing more than anything. Lots of juicy dialogue to swim around in. TD - season 1....last....place??? *faints* Oh yes - I am all up in Fargo and current. Loved the latest season. Murder at the End of the World is good - it's not great - but it ties into technology in an interesting way. You won't regret watching it, though. It had its share of filler episodes as well.
