There were a lot of times where the Russians would have just shot to kill, but they needed at least 1 of them alive because they needed to know who they were, how they got in, what they knew, etc. When your entire secret underground base is at stake, you aren't going to assume it's just a couple of kids that got lost.

Season 2 wasn't great, but it wasn't awful. Season 3 was muuuch better.
Though fighting essentially the same enemy/dealing with the same issue every season is kinda becoming a drag. Season 3 was very enjoyable though.
We're at an awkward time for technology. 30-50 years from now wouldn't be too bad. I'd rather go back to 80s/90s (maybe earlier), or have some real awesome technology.

I don't know if it was an audio issue or maybe they were mumbling some lines, but it was hard to hear what was being said in the beginning of the movie. I just rewatched all of Deadwood last month so it wasn't like I was out of practice. But it definitely cleared up after 15 or 20 minutes. Maybe less.

I agree with the sentiment about remakes, but at least these are a little different. Doing a live action remake of a cartoon is a lot more acceptable to me.
While I thought Smith did a great job job, I could get on board with a Cranston genie!
