NONE of that is why she lost. You focus on one issue and blame her loss on it? Trump barely understood the platform he ran on and hasn't stuck to it at all, yet he won. She lost because people want to believe Trump is better because he represents their own insecurity, ignorance and lost dreams of the White Male Savior. No, though that looks like a nice film This actress was the only female principal character. Also her town was more of a farmland town. The film was also released a bit later - maybe 95 - and its set around 1915. I remember the actress being British but she certainly wasn't Southern American and she transformed physically for the role. I thought it was Natasha Richardson, but I can't find it in her filmography. I think the e-mail and Bengazi scandals factored in, but not Bill's scandals. Trump was equally sexist and Bill was a popular president. The reasons she lost, in my view, were the fears of conservative white men for strong women and a political agenda that made minorities equal to white men. The stuff Trump supporters are preaching since the victory has more to do with racism, sexism, jangoism and fear-mongering and less to do with security and economics as they claimed before Trump won. Awesome! I'm about to watch it. Haven't seen it in 20 years haha. Thanks again! YES! THANK YOU! YOU ARE AN AWESOME PERSON!!!! I agree 100%. The MCU films are all the same in tone and filmmaking style. And they market themselves as "political thrillers" and "esoteric fantasy" to fool marks. The problem is that they are Disney films for adults who outgrew kids films. They are bland action-filled comedy-dramas with unfunny one-liners, half-hearted social messages that just ape the times and lots of hollow subplots to seem like this is adult storytelling. They certainly are more popular and populist than the DCEU, but way less ambitious, artistic and sincere. I found the 3 DC films to be ok, fantastic and mediocre. I've found the MCU to be mostly mediocre with The Avengers being almost fantastic. I won't even talk about the comic book mythologies they are adapting. I just think Warners is employing better casts and crews and Disney is just cookie cutter, almost identical to what they are doing with Star Wars. The Riddler if they want to make a serious, realistic, detective style film for adults. Mr Freeze if they want a campy action movie for Marvel fanboys Poison Ivy if they keep going the Zack Snyder route of dark, glitzy, violent epics. Hush if they want to be all 3. It might surprise us all, but the fan expectation is low right now. A trailer would help. I think the P.C. era will wane and people will not care if characters look how they looked when they were created. Perry White was white way longer than he was black. Kingpin is a white guy again. People won't even care about Domino or the Thor character in 10 years, so they will probably make them white next time because THEY ARE WHITE CHARACTERS. The comics are the source material and will always be what the spinoffs spin off of. Unless they change in the comics, fans will think of them as a certain race or sex. View all replies >
