I read the comic book and have dim memories of the final scene. Years later I saw the movie on a black and television, back in the previus millennium. I don't know if I could see anything at all of his final vision on the black & white tv. I considered it to be be a let down from what I remebered from the comic book's ending. I saw the movie again for the second time on Sat. NOv. 12, 2022 on color tv. I could see the final vision much clearer, It was now a scene in different colors instead of shades of gray. But I just saw some rather abstract colors and patterns. They didn't seem very terrifying to me. They looked like they could rather normal deoration that nobody would mind. When Xavier describes in the movie the blackness and beyond it an eye it reminded me of old ideas of cosmology. The ancients belived the sky was an actual physical roof. Thus the Bible describes a solid firmamentabove the Earth, with trap doors in it which God opened to let the waters above pour down for the Deluge. And the ancient greeks and Romans & the medievals, believed the Earth, the Sun, the Moon and the planets all floated inside a hollow sphere which had glowing lights, the stars, attached to the inside. And beyond that sphere where the heavens of God, the angels, and the saints. Thus some Ancient, and Medieval, and Baroque, and Rococo domes and vaults were decorated with images of a blue daylight sky with clouds, or a black night sky with stars, and at the top and center an actual hole in the sky dome would be depicted revealing the heavens beyond the sky dome. And Xavier's desriptin sort of reminds me of that decorative scheme. Only perhaps Xavier was seeing not two levels of reality but more. A higher (& farther) reality beyond the physical reality of other space and some other even higher (& farther) reality beyond and a yet higher (& farther) reality beyond that, and so on, up to some ultimate glory or horror. I agree. Ecept that it is set designers and builders, not script writers, who create interior sets that do or do not fit inside the exteriors. The movie Gunfight at the OK Corral (1957) isn't any more historically accurate than "The Gunfighters" or "Specter of the Gun" but is entertaining and has a great opening sequence and song. I note that some online lyrics sites make an error, saying: Oh my dearest one must die Lay down my gun or take the chance of losing you forever When the lines are actually Oh my dearest one must I Lay down my gun or take the chance of losing you forever If you watch a video of the opening sequence and it doesn't have the final stanza about Boot Hill, keep looking until you find one that does. The opening song of Gunfight at the OK Corral (1957) is one of my favorits from the movies, right up there with High Noon and Flash Gordon (1980). But the song in "The Gunfighters" is also quite catchy. Does anyone know the complete lyrics to the song in "The Gunfighters" Other potential candidates: Metropolis (1927). Woman in the Moon(1929) Things to Come (1936) Destination Moon (1950) The Forbidden Planet (1956). 2001: A Space Oddessy (1968). Star Wars (1977) Close Encounters of the Third Kind (1977) Star Trek: The Motion Picture (1979) Flash Gordon (1980) Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan (1982) E.T.:The Extra-Terrestrial (1982) Dune (1984) And I suppose there are many persons who will think my list is much too short. And whenever she stayed at home in Cabot Cove, that contributed to making it the murder capital of the world. I wonder if this show full of murders of navy personnel has ever discouraged someone from joining the navy. I saw that. I didn't notice any problems with Lou Gehrig. Maybe my hearing isn't as good as it used to be. I wonder how accurate the close captioning is. i guess if someone had the show recorded they could both listen to the name pronounced and read the close captioning. The Pharaoh(s) in the old testament stories about the Exodus would have reigned sometime in the period of about 1500 BC to 1000 BC.
Though other pyramids were attempted in the 3rd Dynasty after Djoser, it was the 4th Dynasty, transitioning from the step pyramid to true pyramid shape, which gave rise to the great pyramids of Meidum, Dahshur, and Giza. The last pharaoh of the 4th Dynasty, Shepseskaf, did not build a pyramid and beginning in the 5th Dynasty; for various reasons, the massive scale and precision of construction decreased significantly leaving these later pyramids smaller, less well-built, and often hastily constructed. By the end of the 6th Dynasty, pyramid building had largely ended and it was not until the Middle Kingdom that large pyramids were built again, though instead of stone, mudbrick was the main construction material.[20]

According to this list
the last major pyramid in Eqypt was that of Khendjer at Saqqara. Khendjer reigned about 1764 to 1759 BC. His pyramid at Saqqara would have been built of mudbrick. It was originally 37 meters (122.5 feet) tall but is now only 1 meter (3.3 feet) tall. Finely built stone pyramids like the one in Minions had not been built for centuries, probably more than a thousand years, by the time that the Exodus story in the Old Testament would have happened if it was real. Jaaneway is a real surname:

Furthermore, Janeway is common enough that I encountered a fictional character named Janeway before Star Trek: Voyager was ever broadcst. The Command(1954:
ff you think that that Janeway is a strange family name, what would you think about the family name of Strangeway.
There is also a strange surname Strange:
lucian was not Satan, he wasa powerful alien who was more less interpeted as Satan by some Jews and Christians who met him on Earth. Lucian was no more the Devil than Apollo or Kulkulkan were gods. Possibly the fictional date of a Jessie or bunk'd episode might be different from the the date it was first broadcast In this thread I discuss my theory that the episodes of Bunk'd at least have fictional dates years earlier than the dates the episodes ae broadcst in.
https://moviechat.org/tt4591680/Bunkd/5e9e0bb6ee346205ae92e507/Will-the-fifth-season-of-Bunkd-reference-the-coronavirus-pandemic
I note that the first seaosn of Bunk'd began on July 2015, and the fifth season began on January 15, 2021. Teh fith summer at the camp should happen four ficitonal years after the first season started, but instead was first broadcast five and half years after the first season was broadcast. Possibly the episodes of the fourth season of Jessie happpen in 2014 to 2015 and the first seaosn of Bunk'd happens in the summer of 2014. Thus some of the fourth season episodes of Bunk'd would happen before Emma, Ravi and Zuri go to Camp Kickiwaka in the Summer of 2014, and some in the fall of 2014 after they return. Or maybe the third season of Jessie ends in the spring of 2014, Emma, Ravi, and Zuri go to Camp Kikiwaka in the first Season of Bunk'd, and the fourth season of Jessie begans after they return to NYC in the fll of 2014. And I wouldn't go by the way the kids age between seasons and shows. The ages of the actors reflect the dates the episodes were filmed, not the dates the episodes were broadcast, and not the fictional dates of the shows and indiviadual episodes established by various statements in the episodes. Technically an officer who graduated from West Point in June 1900 (the last year of the 19th century, would probably have been born in 1877-78) and so be about 98 to 99 in 1976, a very unlikely but possible age for someone who was born about the latest that a 19th century US cavalry officer could have been born. And the James Bond film A View to a Kill. When it appeared I thought "that's the house used in Burnt Offerings". It obviously should have taken weeks or months to film. IMDB gives a filming date of 1 October 1962.
That could be the first or the last day of filming. 1962 was before global warming started to be really noticeable, and English people and actors were used to dressing warmly most of the year. Which means that the date that the inscription is read should be 20 October 1963. According to the IMDB cast list for "Children of the Stones"
there is one female character portrayed by a teenage acress. Sandra, portrayed by Katharine Levy. "Children of the Stones" was filmed in 1976, and Katharine Levy was born in 1961, thus making her 14 or 15.
The US Navy had several dirigibles, rigid airships. USS Shenandoah was the first, and the first rigid airship filled with helium.
And having a goofy imagination, I can imagine a relative of a crewmember singing about their desire to see it safely return from a trip: "Oh, Shenandoah, I long to see you," There were real historical characters who would have had personal names but are only known by their titles and family names/surnames, lie Mr. Jones, or Private Smith, or something like that, in the historical records which mentinthem. And would often take a lot of research to dig up the personal names of many of them. And one title which some people have had was "boy". Warships and civilian ships used to have cabin boys. Boy was a rank in the Birtish and US navies for apprentice sailor boys. For example Boy First Class John Travers Cornwall of HMS Chester was fatally wounded at the Battle of Jutland aged 16 and awared a posthumous Victoria Cross. I have alist of 300 other boya sailors who died at Jutland, most when their ships exploded with almost no survivors. The yungest sailors in the US Civil War to win the Medal of Honor included Cabin Boy John Anglin age 14, Third Class Boy George Hollat age 15, & Boy James Machon age 16. The 19th century British army also had a rank of boy. The list of soldiers killed at the disastrous defeat at Isandlwana on 22 January 1879 includes Boy Thomas Harrington, Boy Robert Richards, Boy James Gordon, Boy Joseph McEwan, and Boy James Gurney, from the 24th regiment of foot. There are 2 dead members of the Army Medical Department listed, Surgeon-Major Peter Shepherd and Boy Green, his servant.-Obviously the creators of the causalty lists didnn't kneo Green's personal name. I don't if Green was known as "Boy Green" because he was enlisted in the army with the rank of boy, or if he was a civilian servant called "Boy Green" because he was too young to be called "Mr. Green". It has been said that glory in war consists of being killed and having your name spelled wrong in the newspapers. In the few times that Green has been mentioned in the last 143 years it was merely as "Boy Green" without his personal name, and who knows when or if his personal name will ever be discovered. Don't tell me about underaged privates and drummer boys in the US Civil War. I probably know a lot more about that than you do, incluiding knowing how much about the subject is unknown or doubtful. When the Military Academy at West Point was established in 1802, it was not as organized as today. Early cadets ranged in age from 37 down to 10 and attended from 6 months to 6 years. General Philip St.George Cooke (June 13, 1809-March 20, 1895) entered the US Military Academy at West Point age 14 (1823/24) and graduated on July 1, 1827 aged 18 years and 18 days.
So unless Lt. Greenhill looked very young for his actual age, he would have been a few years younger than Lt. Cooke. A few decades later the minimum age to enter West Point had been raised to 17. George Armstong Custer entered WEst Point on July 1, 1857, still aged 17, and I remember reading in some of his biographies that was already the minimum age which it has remained ever since. So if Lt. Greenhill was as young as Patrick Wayne he whould have entered West Point about 1869 when he was about 5 years under the legal minimum age, and he and his family, etc. would have had to lie a lot on his application. I can think of no great advantage over waiting until he was the legal age. General John LIncoln Clem (1851-1937) was a famous drummer boy in the Civil War, promoted to lance sergeant age 12, and was appointed from civilian life as a 2nd Lieutenant in the regular army in 1871, when he was already 20 years & 4 months old. So Lt. Greenhill would have had to be an even more extremely young example of a famous boy soldier in the Civil War if he was appointed from civilian life on the basis of his Civil War record.
