:) Is there anyone you would really like to see try the show? I can't think of only a few, but probably for various reasons none would do it: -George Takei -Tiffani Thiessen -Valerie Bertinelli and a bunch of A-listers who would never do it. It doesn't help that often the camera focuses on things other than the feet so that they are hard to follow. I wonder if Tom Bergeron himself will ever get into dancing shoes. Could be amusing. Oh well, I guess there are 2 more Olympic gymnasts and 4 more members of Fifth Harmony. ;) Color me surprised that in 1206 they already knew all about infection and that you have to disinfect a wound with alcohol when Pasteur didn't discover it until 1860 at the earliest. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Germ_theory_of_disease Was it just me or did they shorten the cameos of past contestants more than usual? Seemed like it anyway. To m,e Rashad's footwork did improve, even though he never reached perfection in all aspects. One thing that made me happy is that Emma is my favorite pro and after getting paired with so many losers (aka old guys) in the past she finally won. Well deserved! I guess they resume again in the fall. Really wondering how deep in the barrel they'll have to go to find the next batch of contestants. The time is coming when they'll announce a line-up and I won't recognize a single name. Apparently the new one even did some things better! An original screenplay based on a very similar experience the writer had. Thought the poor execution was in the script writing. Many things the characters don't actually make sense. The show would have had to end, then. They had run out of things for him to do. If they don't grow they stagnate and then the show's dead. I didn't mean to suggest that that's when Friends did it, but just that that was a trick that they used. Good call. Cool. I don't think it's duress. He doesn't exhibit wild-eyed behavior as he usually does in such situations. He's calm and laughing along the way. I think his logic is just that he realized he doesn't want to be with anyone else and he wants a defense against adventurers (but of course a ring is no obstacle for such a person and considering his family history he ought to know that). He has to go to New Jersey not because it's so urgent, but because he wants to pop the question to get it over with and of course one must not do that over Skype. Oh well, at least we didn't get a "Penny's having a baby" plot. They must be saving that for the series finale a la Ross and Rachel. Yeah, no B plot was just like Star Trek, the original series. It was a quotation! ;) I don't mean he has to go gay, but it would have been more amusing if a gay colleague were trying to seduce him. His confusion about what was happening would have been the same in either case, and just as funny. But of course the viewers wouldn't then have had doubts about which partner he would choose, but on the other hand, you don't appear to have doubts anyway, and maybe most viewers don't. I'm not sure Sheldon was the right person to manufacture drama with. Should have stuck with Leonard/Penny, Howard/Bernie or Raj, probably. Those characters are more versatile that way. He does things to the extreme when under extreme stress, but I don't see that he is under that right now. I mean he didn't even pack a toothbrush. It was a weird episode to me. Not that funny and just plain odd. Why would he be so friendly to Nowitzky when they parted on such bad terms and he holds grudges forever? Completely unbelievable. They would have done better to bring in a visiting physicist we had never seen before. If they had really had guts, they would have made him a male one. Sheldon's reaction was also bizarre. There's no need to travel across the country for that. He could have just said "no". My guess by the way is that for some reason her answer will be "no" or at least "not right now" because (1) that will surprise the viewers and (2) it provides more story material to stretch things out for a while. The other story lines were not that great either. Yes, they always create a little drama with a leave taking at the end of the season. Or maybe it's because her contract isn't settled... He does have some touches of one. Presumably he went to school outside Texas and lost most of it. Agreed, Normani's "issue" seemed a bit much. Famous people problems. But I'm developing a crush on her anyway and hope she is at least in until the end. I liked most of the trios, but agree, Normani's was best, maybe mostly because of the choreography. I wonder if it's to set up a big reversal, like Penny being pregnant in the season finale. :) Yes, certainly too early. I guess they lacked the voting bases. You would think Nancy as an Olympian would have had more support, but maybe people got the idea she wasn't happy to be there? Dunno.
