1) So that they have enough of a motive to seek sex that they attempt attracting males so that reproduction can potentially happen. 2) For additional lubrication during sex so it's more comfortable for the woman. Terrible thing. I get the feeling that some higher-ups in the movie industry have been putting screws on several of the most popular movie-rating sites to make it so that they could continue to churn out mediocre or poor movies without being called out on it. Replacing the 5-star system (which wasn't wasn't perfect itself, and was somewhat vulnerable to petty 1 and 5 star ratings) with a thumb up/down only makes things much vaguer and, especially if the trend of Internet message boards closing down continues, makes it so that people will have to watch more movies to see for themselves instead of making the decision to possibly not see them due to low ratings. Will? If there was a spike in children named Siri - it would've probably been about 5 or 6 years ago when the Siri technology was first released, I'm sure the window on that has long passed. Moviechat is easily the most disciplined and well though-out IMDB alternative of the bunch, so it comes as no surprise it's trouncing the others. IMDB v2.0 probably had the fastest short-term growth at one time, but it's very evident it's lost its steam already. Seinfeld was like a time capsule of its era. Too much in society has changed for it to have the same feel. I'm down for almost anything supporting Moviechat, but this is just downright disgusting. We're better than this. It used to be even worse than that - every time it would log you out, you would also be kicked to the main boards screen and had to re-navigate back to where you were each time An Ignore function is absolutely vital to the site, I think. It's by far the best first line of defense we could have - enables people to feel comfortable posting here while at the same time not overloading the report system. I like a lot of your other ideas, but at best many of them are aesthetics. I've actually felt like swearing even less on here without the bad word filters than I did on IMDB that prevented you from even typing fuck with just the f and ALL the other letters starred out. Not sure if it's some kind of psychological effect or not. Only a few holes left to patch now, one of them being the lack of an Ignore feature. And of course, we need more users - but hopefully that comes with time as well. I haven't been spamming them with the links per se, but whenever I get the whim I like to go and comment about the boards on several of the inane crap they post. The more the average person/visitor sees that the statement about more people caring about IMDB's social media is complete BULL, the better. "People don't want to have to weed through a landfill in order to get to the good stuff. " Yup, that's what the Ignore function was for. I used to be one of those people who bragged about not using it - but with spammers who clog the boards it can be very useful Meanwhile, the same people like me wouldn't like being a mod - because I would actually care about being fair and wouldn't feel up to the task. I would probably use my mod powers so rarely they'd kick me off for not regulating enough, lol Haha, but yes, just did what Traveler suggested and it fixed the problem, so apparently you can change the title. EXACTLY. A lot of them were pretty harmless, they were just poking fun. How some people just went on reporting rampages with them I'll never understand - if anything some of them just made the place funnier. Awesome - You got it on the first try! There are people who still routinely make mistakes with haiku even when they've known about them for years! 3-line poem, first line has 5 syllables, the second has 7, and the final one also has 5. You, though, not so much Your haiku really sucks ass Please go back to school On accident a few times, my brain's still wired to go there. I've installed a site blocker though and added IMDB to it, so even when I type in the address, it doesn't take me there. Was Snakes on a Plane really that popular aside from the meme it produced?
