Blu-Ray Question

Hey all, I bought the DVD on this when it came out but have since started VERY SLOWLY upgrading to blu-ray. Only select films may be upgraded at the moment. My question is how does it look in BD? I have noticed that, due to the low budget and lighting (which work really well for the film), it can be a bit hard to see in some scenes. Does the BD take care of some of this or does it still appear grainy and hard to see in places?
