Mostly good with some annoying aspects (MIGHT CONTAIN SPOILERS)!

A few episodes in and I am really enjoying it. As with many shows, some of the sub-plots are played up for dramatic tension. In particular, the level of blackmail seen throughout is right up there with that in Black Mirror's "Shut Up and Dance" albeit directed at innocent people.

However, there are some annoying characters and bizarre or contrived themes from the outset. Examples include fake pregnancies or kids with smartphones who (for plot convenience or inconvenience reasons) are unaware that their location can be tracked using the phones GPS. Then, there is an important central plot point involving a rave where an alpaca (or llama) is disembodied as a form of sacrifice. While these acts are deplorable and the traits of a sociopath, do kids these days (never-mind large groups of them) actually carry on like this?

Anyway, the cast is excellent with Stephen Rea, Jennifer Saunders, Hannah John-Kamen and Paul Kaye. Broadly speaking, the acting is superb and down to earth for the most part. Some of the acting is a tad far-fetched at times.

The alpaca rave thing really put me off the whole show. Was it even central to the plot? I gave up by Ep 4 and it looked like a red herring. It was a gruesome and cruel story to just throw in for padding. Anyway these crime dramas are always too contrived and filled with nonsensical side stories to throw you off and stretch things out for 8 episodes.
