The Director really faked us out
With the dark shadow right when dude was electrocuted.
Took awhile to figure out there was no alien.
If an mini asteroid had hit them, OK, but there was no indication of something external coming to them. So I never doubt that the psycho kid killed him, I was just wondering how, as he was not outside.
