I enjoyed it, the low score is unjustified.

I liked Lance Reddick as Wesker, the guy has a great onscreen presence in all his roles and didn't disappoint here. Did he need to be white? Screwed if I know, I'm not that dedicated a fan of the lore perhaps.

There were a couple of episodes (5 and 6 I think) that prattled on about 'feelings' and relationships so much it got irritating. FFS, Jade is essentially doing everything in her power to save a world gone to complete hell and her milque-toast husband is fucking whining about how she's not around for him and her daughter enough - episode 6 I think. Dude, she's fucking busy. Priorities!

Too many shows cram in tons of the boring fee-fees stuff now, it's overbearing.

And the 'teen-angst' stuff was sometimes there but not stifling.

All up I enjoyed it. 6.5/10.

I agree Reddick was good and I quite enjoyed the first two or three episodes, but it got weaker as it went along and ended on a particularly unsatisfying (now never to be resolved) cliffhanger, so unsatisfying in fact I didn't even realise it was the last episode until it was over. Better than a 4.2/10 perhaps, but not great.

I heard it was awful. An insult to a great franchise with a beloved storyline.

I didn't like it. Adult Jade was quite awful. Adult Billy called her out for getting everyone around her killed and she was right to do so because Jade literally gets everyone killed by her own actions. But, the writers say she's the hero so we get to follow her.

The kids story was better. Lance Reddick was fine. Crying Billy got annoying. The puzzle episode was okay.

3.5/10.

I couldn't stand it, sit 8 hours for each episode, I watch the first episodes and some scenes from later ones and it was more than enough.

Funny thing is I found the teenage girl drama more interesting than the future scenes. Lance Ridicking was so out of place. I just don't even were to start how badly it was.
