I would have rather seen a Sy Snootles series.

It could be about the travels of Sy Snootles and the Max Rebo Cantina Band throughout the galaxy. One day a high-power agent from Coruscant happens to be on Tattooine for a stopover and catches Sy and the gang's jams. He signs them to a multi-million credit contract and then all hell breaks loose. We could watch Max Rebo hosing up space-cocaine through his trunk as his life unravels, and we could watch Sy Snootles cavorting with alien groupies. They could threaten to break up the band over creative differences and have big weird alien brawls on stage. It could be like "The Doors" a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away.

Hire Christopher Guest and make it a mockumentary of the Max Rebo band.
