Never seen a movie filmed like this...

They filmed this movie with a 1980s style camera. It's actually quite shocking how much they manged to make this movie look like it was filmed in 1988 and the actors clothing, hair styles and makeup looks entirely authentic. When directors make films abut the 1980's they never manage to pull off anything like this. This film makes you feel like you're living and observing the late late 1980's. There are ZERO anachronisms.

The films events were set before my time, I'm not British, political or LGBT but watched this film on a whim. Honestly, it's worth the watch for how authentic this is. The story is fairly good too. Who would have guessed the U.K was more Homophobic than the U.S at one time?
