Why the low score?

Saw this last night, not sure why it's received such a low score overall. It's a simple, small production, but carry's a punch. Yeah, it has some of the aspects of a tv docu-series recreation, but really is a big step above that.

Guess my main issue would be how they changed Shields Green's real fate, how the story truly panned out.
