Finally watched both seasons

I heard about the Luke reveal and finally decided to watch these first two seasons of The Mandalorian in full. I initially refused for a long time, cos I thought it was gonna be a crappy western sci-fi show, but as I saw the first few episodes, I fell in love with baby Yoda and Mando himself, and how it felt like Rogue One in terms of continuing that sweet, sweet Star Wars lore that fans were so craving with no stupid Rey and other Sequel Trilogy characters. And what's more, it took place almost immediately after ROTJ, so it was dealing with Imp (love that term) remnants and their enablers.

I think the special effects are brilliant, the action full of fan-service (but what's wrong with that) and baby Yoda is so endearing. Until I saw the show, I thought he was a one-off character that hit fans in the feels massively, but it turns out he's the MacGuffin of the show, and the one thing that everyone's after.

I loved the filling in of the backstory and the mythos behind Star Wars, and the show is very entertaining in general. But it seems some, like Critical Drinker and Robot Head, are still critical of the show. I think I may have been blasted by fan-service and nostalgia, but I thought this show did no wrong. I guess my enthusiasm will die down before long.

In any case, still much better than I expected. The Mandalorian has awakened the Star Wars fan in me, unlike those crappy Sequel Trilogy movies.
