Plot weirdness
What do locusts have to do with dinosaurs? That sounds more like Monarch and Skull Island to me.
shareI mean yeah, not great that the locusts are so much of the plot, but they explain it enough. Basically, BioSyn owns the technology that creates a certain grain, as well as the locusts (which they developed using similar/same tech as was used on the dinosaurs, which they also have a ton of), and they use the locusts to kill non-BioSyn grain so they can control the food chain.
