Some Questions to Consider....

There are a few questions that I have regarding this movie over the identity of Paimon & where & who he may have resided in or at during this film. It is thought that Ellen summoned & placed him (though this process wasn’t fully explained) inside of Charlie at birth, but she turned out to be a girl which to Ellen & her coven was less than ideal, as it was explained that sir. Paimon was “covetous” of a male body which was the vessel he wanted to be placed in.

Ok, I get that but didn’t Ellen & her coven already know that Charlie would be girl or not or did they simply have no idea for whatever reason? Unless you’re saying they did know but saw no problem in it which only leads you back to the question of Paimon desirous of a male body which they of course should’ve already have known before then.

But moving on, we learn that Ellen & the coven were somewhat successful in summoning Paimon & placing him in a child’s body, well at least we are lead to believe they are. Which begs the question where was Paimon really & with or in who? Many of us believe it was in Charlie in which he cohabitated with her in her body.

IF this was the case then why did Charlie “see the light” which was a manifestation of Paimon’s presence outside of herself in her room? When she was glueing the pigeons head on a figure that she made, she’s distracted by the light that travels from one end of her room to the other & then leads to the window. How is he within but yet outside of her at the same time? The film implies that the light is Paimon searching for a vessel in which to reside & take possession of but why would that be the case if he already was in possession of someone, in this case Charlie?

Also if he was inside of her, then would he be able to voluntarily leave a vessel if he wanted to, for another one which he preferred more? Or like many of us believe was he bound to the vessel he was in until the death or destruction of said body? Another thing to wonder about is if his current vessel is destroyed wouldn’t he return to hell rather than remain on earth in a limbo state?

Later on when Charlie is killed (murdered) we can understand Paimon being free to roam to search for another body but again if Paimon was Charlie who was also Paimon then when Peter dies & Paimon enters him then why does Joan say to him “It’s ok now Charlie” in the treehouse? Why not address Peter’s consciousness in his own body instead of saying “Charlie?” That always confused me, unless you’re saying that Charlie was still part of a now liberated Paimon & still is in there with him, even though he’s now Peter/Paimon. If Paimon was in Annie in that brief time before he entered Peter then how is it, he sees Annie levitating up to the treehouse after he wakes? If he had left her to go to Peter then who’s in her making her rise? Confusing stuff that I don’t think is cleared up in the movie at all.

Never mind that the newly resurrected Paimon looked way out of it, like he didn’t understand or was confused as to what was going on. He certainly didn’t come off like he knew what the deal was from the get go. I’m not hoping for a sequel but one has to wonder where do things go from there? What do you all think?
