I'm a bit confused on her character and the character's motivations.
Was she sort of "collecting" the knowledge of male patients for their eventual destruction? And did she do this to the Bradley Cooper character out of what happened to her?
In other words, was she basically a human black window luring these powerful men into her web so she could control/destroy them because of what happened to her?
It's a poorly made movie. It doesn't tell us any of what you asked
shareWhat I got out of it is that she was getting revenge on Grindle specifically.
Remember she told Stan that Grindle could be unpredictable, and that pissing off the wrong guy has consequences, implying that trying to scam him would be dangerous.
When she showed her scar, I didn't immediately connect it, but when Grindle said he "hurt" a lot of girls, I figured she must have been one of them.
She read enough of Stan's character to know he could be violent under the right circumstances, and manipulated him into being the tool of her revenge on Grindle. Stole all the money too.
