I guess they didn't want non-Spanish speakers watching this show...

The reviews were very positive about this show, so I decided to give it a shot. However, I soon realized that they decided to incorporate a significant amount of Spanish in the dialogue without any subtitles. At the beginning, I would pause my DVR and look up the Spanish words being used. By Episode 3, I was done with that, and the show. I can appreciate an attempt at authenticity by the mix of both Spanish and English in the dialogue. But if you're going to do that, at least sub-title some things for the people who don't speak Spanish. I guess the creators of Vida and Starz don't care about losing non-Spanish speaking viewers. Fine with me...just don't come back and complain about anything if you're not getting enough viewers watching.

Calmense muchachos. I just finished watching the second season and the Spanglish makes out the Spanish to be a mere fraction of the predominance of English dialogue. If you absolutely have to comprehend these few insignificant Spanish phrases of the disproportionately allotted English dialogue then either, pay attention to the context and postulate the meaning or get out of your monolingual complacency and take a flippin' Spanish class. Spanish is honestly one of the easiest languages to learn, after all it is vulgar Latin and because of that, its much easier to make the connections to English than say Mandarin. Non-native Spanish speaker writing by the way.

Though to be fair, since this show is produced by STARZ, most of this show is T&A anyway. Do I need to elaborate on why you need to "listen" to this show in the first place? Lol
