Minor, but major plot hole (Spoiler - blacked out)

After burying the hunter, the killer seems to have lost his shovel. I doubt he would have left it behind and if you were to bury someone where would put the shovel after filling in the grave? Wouldn't you put it in the back of the SUV? Yep, right where the victim hid in the SUV. Guess they couldn't come up with an idea to deal with the shovel.
